Don't worry Tyler. My 370k mile wagon convinced my wife and I to sell our 2003 Acura TL Type S (63k miles) and get her a 1985 300CD (208k miles). At first my wife thought it was an "insane" suggestion, but she is completely behind it now and very excited to be able to own such a "beautiful" and "charming" vehicle.

Jimmy,

I'll get to work on an image ASAP.

EDIT:

Here it is:

Not at all, Tyler. You've got a stable full if one goes down. Go for the Rubicon, too. Nothing like dropping the top on those nice days. The 6 does fine on the highway, albeit far more "truck-like" than your X was. I love my Wrangler it's just too small for me now.

Not crazy at all. My wife and I have been driving diesel Benz's ranging from 77 to 85 for 7 yrs now and only once has one left us stranded and that was a broken glow strip fuse on the 77 which happened while my wife was parked at work. A short jumper wire would have had it running.

Since gas is $4 a gallon I would think dumping an SUV is a good move. Unless you enjoy wasting a ton of money and can write off the fuel.

When you get tired of the old cars and Jeep, get a CDI.

My '81 300CD is my daily driver. I have 2 other much newer cars and I drive them so seldom my biggest problem is keeping the tires pumped up and batteries from discharging.

I have to agree with that...seems like the W140s get a bad rap around here...they really aren't that bad. There are other cars that are way worse, IMO.

And yes, you are slightly crazy . No, not really...it just depends on what you want, and you want old Mercedes'...nothing wrong with that.

All is not lost though…………You can still just go rent a ‘chick magnet’ to impress the ones you want to bang.

But keep in mind whether you had kept the X5 or go rent a ‘shag wagon’ you are still paying for the sex…………. Might wanna hire a ‘sex cost analyzer’.

I’ve also found that owning vehicles and equipment is by far, cheaper than the cost of women, plus you can sell the stuff when you are done with it and get some of your money back…….(I hope there are no ‘bra burners’ posting here)

And lastly,

I don’t think they teach this in college, but always remember the three ‘T’s……………………………..

If it’s got Tits, Tires or Transistors……it’s gonna give you troubles……………

Single???
