Arrow 300SDL 1987 recent mileage....

After trying to sell the car and somebody carfaxed the VIN number, they told me the last reported mileage was 275,000 before we recieved the car. The odometer said 186,000 and I thought it must have probably had about 200,000, but now it could have close to 300,000! The vacuum locks have recently stopped working altogether, the trunk locks seperately and now the driver side won't lock and the rear passenger door is stuck closed. I had to pry the gas tank back open in order to keep getting fuel...

If I still have the original timing chain, which I almost know I do according to records... should it have been replaced by now and also I still have the original vacuum pump with no loss of brake power only a thud in the pedal where the alignment is out. With the B2 servo needing to be serviced how much longer could this car possibly hold out as far as mileage just by changing the oil and fluids???

There is no answer to this IMHO . If you don't want a dead car, check the stretch on the chain and replace if it is 4 degrees or more. Replace the vacuum pump if it is the old design unless you want to risk ball bearings in the timing case or elsewhere. Sounds risky to me to keep driving or offering for sale something that has these significant unknowns that could destroy the engine.
