Engine Transplant, Cost Estimate

I know I'm going to get a variety of answers to this, but my engine has a lot of blowby and a major leak, I'm thinking from the rear crank, because it only happens when its moving highway speeds, not in the garage.

Now, if I found a suitable engine (this is for a n/a 300TD), how much would you expect a shop to charge to change the old engine out and put in the new one (with, lets say, a labor rate of $75/hr)?

I am not necessarily condemning the engine yet, but looking at price options. The amount of blowby is like a steam engine, and I know a lower end rebuild is really pricey. I am doubting the blowby could come from much else.

Thanks-
