Weird Stuttering + Electrical Problem

First off I have search the forums and had no luck with my problem. I have an 87 300sdl that randomly will start to stutter at startup and low rpm. You may ask what rpm, well I don't know because with the stuttering comes a dead tach and an antilock brake warning light comes on. It does smooth out when you give it gas and after a little driving everything reverts to normal. Tach comes back to life and the antilock light goes out.
I have replaced both fuel filters and run diesel addiative which seemed to work for a little while. My machanic just dropped the fuel tank and cleaned it and the pick up screen. It still does it!!! Now this is my wife's and she is pissed. Anybody have any ideas?

Sounds like a classic OVP relay problem, ... search OVP relay or over-voltage protection relay.

I agree that this sounds like a bad ovp relay. It sits on the firewall on the driver's side next to the KLIMA relay. It is a silver tall relay with a red 10A fuse in the top of it. Perhaps it needs to be re-seated, or perhaps the red fuse is loose, and worst case scenario, a bad relay.
