Possible Dark side walk

Saturday I go look at a 560 SEL. I want an SDL, but I think this may cure the itch til I find the SDL I want. It's got a few options, but the one I thought was interesting was 406 single seat with orthopaedic front seat backrest, left and right (с 01.07.1970) Is this the pump up bulb for the back? I'll keep you posted.. Maybe I can take the drivetrain out of the SD and put in there?

560's have self leveling suspension in back, so a diesel swap would have to be a wagon engine, and would not be all that easy. I'd leave the 560 in there!

My '91 TE had the orthopedic seats.

It consisted of a control between the seat and center console which had two numbered thumbwheels: One for air pressure, the other for selecting which of 11 bags to inflate/deflate.

It was problematic, and when I had to replace the unique $450 central locking / orthopedic pump once and the controls once, ... I did like the seats though and would order them again.

If you put in a 603, the SLS has a dual pump and the head is not unique. The SLS was offered on the 350SDL, coincidentally, I have a spare PL/SLS pump from a 350SDL, ...

... and Michigan has a 72hour "right of rescission", so you're in luck.

I'll bet it's white.

Tony- a drivetrain swap might not be that wise. Im not sure if the 560 driveshaft will fit with the 617 blck and trans, and the SD driveshaft will be too short. Plus you'd want to swap over the 3.07 from the SD otherwise that 2.47 will make off the line starts even more fun. AND i'm not even sure if they will swap, I'm about to find out though as I'm probably going to go with a 560 diff in my 500. I'll have to stick with the rear cover from the 500 and the half shafts will have to come over from the 560 too.

besides you'll have fun doing burnouts with the 560 anyways you'll never want to swap it!

I need to see if I really want to get it first, I guess. I'll let you know what I feel Saturday afternoon, or I'll post pics, either way.

Well, I got there just as they were auctioning that one. I wouldn't bid $375, so it sold for $350. Had I gotten there 10 minutes earlier, I could have looked it over. Oh well, there are more out there. Like that SL coming up in a couple weeks....
