I-5 RPM Range / Redline

Good Morning All -

Working away on my 84 300D and wondering what kind of RPM you are all seeing at 60, 70, 80 MPH and where the Max RPM's are for this car ?

Also how do I go about engine identification on this car ? I should know this but ...

I am new to the MBZ and working on learing more so I have been doing lots of reading here.

Thanks

tr0y

3000rpm is normal for 60mph.
The maximum free revving (no load) speed is 5500rpm. The maximum working (loaded) speed is 4500rpm.

Put your VIN into the russian MB site and it will tell you every option your car has.
