I just replaced my driver's side window regulator on my '80 W116. I noticed that as the window goes up and down the tracks, the window tilts forward. In fact, I can grab the window and rock it left/right. When I close the window, the rear of the window reaches the top first then the front follows and closes completely.

There's about a 1/2" of play and I'm not sure how to tighten this so it goes up straight and true.

Does anybody have any recommendation to fix this?

I did not write this post but I'm still hoping someone will respond. I also own w116 300sd and have the same problem with my driver side window. The window has a lot of play and just doesn't seem to go up smoothly. I just ordered new aftermarket regulators...I will install, adjust and grease and will post an update. Feel free to comment or give advice on how to properly adjust and install the regulators. I also found out that slamming your door affects longevity. I better replace my door strickers sooner than later..
