Have the NAPA guy search under "Lubro Moly", not Diesel Purge. It isn't listed under the product name for some reason.

It looks like Gerry found it online. If that part number doesn't work ask again and I'll dig out the ticket. IIRC the list price was around $6.

Napa carries it, $5.59 a can. BE SURE to give them the part number! I spoke with three different "inventory specialists" who keep telling me they didnt have it till one finally listened and looked it up by part number. imagine that listeneing to the customer!

p/n: AIC LM2005 as stated previously a few posts up

I get mine at Advance Auto. 6 years ago when I started looking for DP, I checked NAPA and OLYMPIC near my house. Neither had ever heard of it. They acted as if I was looking for kryptonite. I bought some online and then Advance Auto. Haven't stepped foot in NAPA or OLYMPIC since.

My local NAPA had it on the shelf. At $5.59/ea I got 3 cans and two primary filters for what it would have cost to get just 2 cans from any of the online stores.

LM2005

I had a similar experience at NAPA. The clerk could not help me without a part number. Once I got the part number he could order it. He even found it in his book. Don't know why he was not able to index it without the part number. Seems backwards to me.

The guy also told me that if they get 3 requests for an item in a month, they will make it a stock item.

When I went back to pick up my order the next day, a different guy was writing me up. I could see that he was writing it up at a higher price than what I was quoted. I told him what I was quoted and he graciouisly gave me the quoted price, but also told me that the guy who ordered it for me quoted gave the dealer or shop price vs the retail price.

Thats why I always wear my uniform to the parts stores then tell the person at checkout that its a cash sale.
$5.59 is what was displayed on the shelf price tag though.

It is still on the shelf at my local NAPA. I forgot to look at the price but when I was in there last week they had a whole display of Lubri-Moly products from oil to diesel purge. I recall it costing around $6 as well.

I found it on the shelf at the Napa near my parents house in Oregon as well.

I haven't tried in the local store up here in WA though.
It is nice to be able to get the stuff locally now, rather than having to order enough to make it worthwhile from one of the online vendors!

Thats not a good choice. ATF has additives made to help prevent combustion.
