That's right, when I say dead pedaled, I mean it just shut down. I am pretty sure it is not the filters because they are only a month or two old. Strainer in the tank and lift pump are good posibilities. Maybe that is where I will go next.

Another thing I have noticed is a rough idle and more smoke than usual at start-up. All the glows are good so it's not that. A compression check is probably in order as well. Any recomendations on a good guage?
