You dont need to pull the batt cable.
The ECU will re-adapt itself.

I have driven 100mi. since the new MAF was installed and no improvement in power. I checked the vac. lines again and all look good. I guess next step is pull and clean the EGR. I have not done it in the last 30K mi. and I don't know what was done prior to that.

![]() You know, when I left the EGR vacuum line off by accident, I was getting all the same symptoms. No boost, trans hung in every gear - nearly to redline and when I really pressed it for more power, it wouldn't shift at all, even when I let off the throttle. Now, I'm wondering it you have a slight leak somewhere - maybe the EGR diaphram has a small leak? If it was me, I'd put a mity-vac on the little wye at the front of the brake booster and try to pull a vacuum while the engine is running to see if it holds. Just a thought.

I'm about back where I started. Car still runs smooth and slow but now I have both codes again P0100 and P0400, EGR and MAF. What should I do to it this weekend?

In further searching I have found that a weak battery and the K40 can cause these same trouble codes. Anyone else have this experience?

Haven't heard of that one but a weak batt can cause all kinds of other fun so is possible.
Drive around for a while with the CCU on screen 23 and observe voltage. Press rest for 5 secs. Toggle using auto buttons to #23.

Finally got a chance to do this, life gets in the way you know.
Anyway, drove home with the ccu set to display my voltage, here are the results: at highway speed min. load 13.1-13.3 volts highway speed with high beams and fan on high 13.0 volts stopped at light with high beams and fan on high 12.2-12.7 volts occasionally dipped below 12 Don't know what this means, hope someone can tell me.
