exhaust leak?
have an exhaust leak where manifold meets exhaust pipe...is there supposed to be a gasket there? don't see any in manual....thanks again!!!

My FSM does not list an '82 non turbo, can't help.

it's a euro model its's either 1982 or 1983 300d non turbo

Typical MB is a domed end on the manifold and conical/cupped flare on the mating downpipe. EPC shows 107 492 14 09 connector and 107 492 03 45 flange for a US 81 300D. If you have flat mating flanges, cut your own gasket out of gasket stock.

Should be that easy but this assumes the exhaust flanges are flat and I've yet to see MB manifold to downpipe flanges that are flat.
