What's it called???
Hello all,
I need a part and I don't know what it is called. It's for my 1980 300SD Turbo Diesel W116. It's a mounting bracket that is behind the head lights. It's grey, the headlight rings that hold the headlight in place screw into it. I need the right hand side. Does anyone know what it is called and where I can get a used one? Part number?? Thanks!!!

I would start by calling the wrecking yards. That 116 body was popular in the gas version also so there should be a few around.

EPC shows a part called shell which looks to be metal welded to the front panel. Left is 116 620 05 27, right is 116 620 00 27. EPC also shows a part called lighting unit which looks like a headlight assembly including corner lamp without bulbs. Left is 116 820 07 61, right is 116 820 06 61. EPC doesn't break down the basic headlight frame beyond that though you can get the front trim lens, rear cover, retaining rings, etc. separately.
If you don't mind used replacements, take a picture of what you need and post in the parts forum. Sixto 87 300D
