I have a blue MB-Tex rear seatback that is in better shape than yours. The thread that used to hold the seams (where your tex is ripped) has broken with age and it would have to be resewn but the tex itself is undamaged.

Yours for the cost of shipping.

Jeremy

Unfortunately its a leather interior. While I appreciate the offers, I don't think mixing the two materials would be a good idea.

I'm fairly sure I have a good rear seatback, so all I need is one good leather seat bottom.

*edit*

Didn't see Jimmy's post... Do they really mix okay?

Post Tyler :

Nice snow pix ! . that's a good looking car you saved there , good on ya

Too bad you're so far away as the Pick-A-Part junkyard in Pomona , Ca just set out a 1981 280E (W-123 sedan) that's even better that that and is has the beautiful navy blue cloth seats and door panels , all in *perfect* condition , not even broken springs .

Another fine car that shouldn't have been scrapped , it wasn't even dirty

I pinched the Euro front bumper complete , it's now on my '80 Diesel Coupe

It mixes fine for my tastes. The white wagon came with blue leather, and I have swapped in two MB Tex front seats and the look is darn close.
You might have an issue with it were it Ol' Turbo, but the Defiant will look more than adequate......

The Defiant cold started easily this afternoon, after sitting for more than 48 hours in temperatures from the low 20s to upper teens. It is supposed to get even colder over the next couple of days, so I decided to plug in the block heater just to be safe.

The cold weather is really depressing me. There's so much I want to do to this car, but I can't be outside for more than 5 minutes without feeling frozen to the bone. It may be time to invest in a heating/air conditioning unit for the garage.

These work well and are very cost effective for heat....

Lol.. you need some winter advice!
The key to working in sub-freezing conditions is two things, first: adequate clothing. Use long johns, double pair of socks, good shoes, triple layer clothing on your upper body and a hat. Thin gloves is enough to insulate from cold tools and parts, as long as you keep using your hands. Second, keep moving. Standing still makes the cold get you very fast. You'll be amazed how much you get done when you have to keep working constantly just to keep your self warm.

From there on, you can keep adding winter bonuses to your garage. Get a heater, either the one Jimmy suggested or a torpedo heater such as I have (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gti6UoxMRCA). Our heater is quite loud, impossible to have a normal conversation when it's running, on the other hand it's enough to run it for about 15 minutes per hour to keep the 2000sq.f. shop fairly warm (+50deg.F). Get a coffee machine or something else that supplies you with something warm to drink. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, all tastes very good when it's cold. Access to hot water is great, our shop doesn't have that so it's a really bone-chilling experience to wash the dirt off at sessions end, but I thought about using a radiator, some plumbing and a 5 gallon drum with the torpedo heater to supply our shop with warm water good for washing hands.

Remember there are things one can't do when it is too cold, paint dries impossibly slowly when it's sub-freezing for example..
And there are things that can only be done when cold, when the roads outside are covered with ice and snow your test drives after wrenching gets all the more fun! lol

Good luck with your winter wrenching, it is character-building, makes you feel very manly and gets you up a few notches on your friends "insane people"-list!

A good day for the Defiant

A guy in Nebraska is parting out his fleet of 3 300Ds. One was up until recently his driver, and the other two parts cars.

With his DD he recently went through the entire Climate control system, including a new compressor. He finally had to give up on the car when the suspension rusted through the wheel arch.

Nice guy, it seems.

Looks what he pulled for me!

They look like new. Now the Defiant can look just as nice on the inside as he does on the outside.

I am getting the entire interior, nice blue floormats embroidered with the Mercedes symbol and 300D, and some of the AC bits (including the newer compressor) for CHEAP!

We're meeting in Salina, about 1.5 hours away, so I don't have to worry about shipping either. I'm sure the Excelsior can handle the load. (knock on wood)

Put them on photobucket and replaced the original pictures. My AOL email may have been only showing the pictures to me.
