I do agree that the M103 is a pretty amazing engine. After really taking the power for a ride a week ago....I fell in love with it. Its amazing how it can be so quiet running at 3k on the highway.....and the SOUND and the adrenaline rush when its winding up to 5-6,000rpm. Wowww! Feels like a race car!

I still love the torque and feel of a diesel though, always will. The 617 is my best friend. We've driven 70k+ together so far.

I've tried EVERYTHING and looked for EVERYTHING in the control panel and everywhere else I know to look. I've had other laptops that I could disable the touch pad in no time flat. This one is still a puzzle.

BTW, I've driven about 800,000 miles in diesel MB's and about 350,000 miles or so in gas MB's. All the diesel noise, efficiency and all that aside, only sitting in the drivers seat, I'll take any of those gas cars any day over the diesel cars, but that's just me.

Yes, but every MB that I've had has been a manual transmission, so it's an apples to apples comparison for me. My wife had a few with automatics along the way, but those don't count.

For me, buying ANY vehicle with an automatic transmission is not an option. It makes it difficult for me to find a car though. I looked for a couple of years before I found my manual transmission 124 car.

I just picked up a 1995 E300D, these W124's are great cars. I like it better than my w210

For a few years I had a 96 E300D with the same engine as your 95. The 210 is a nice car, but I do believe I prefer the feel and handling of the 124 car.
