Hi all, 2.5 non turbo, 1986.
I have been adjusting the idle with the throttle cable despite what Chilton's states. I can't seem to find the adjustment screw to change the idle. I also have a problem with the brake booster until the engine warms up. I suspect a vaccuum problem which I also think is affecting the shut down solenoid. The lines are all in good shape. Any ideas where to start? Thanks, Ed |

Often the lines will still be ok, but the rubber connectors, ells, wyes, and crosses will get old and hard. They will crack or just get loose and cause leaks. Once the engine compartment gets warm some of these will swell just enough to re-seal again till the next cycle.

I think I will start replacing rubber hoses and see how if that helps any.
Thank you. Ed |
