Those don't exist unless its a custom job. The 98- Current Navigators were all equipped with gas engines, the 98-99 had the 5.4L Triton V8, Mid 99 Saw a Change and it got the Intec 4V 5.4L V8, then in 2004, it got the 3V 5.4L V8. There were rumors about a 2010 4.4L Diesel V8 Navigator, but last I heard that project was shelved.

All Ford Explorers have been built with gas 4.0L OHV V6 (91-99), then 96, a 5.0L V8 Became available, 97 Saw the 4.0L SOHC, then in 2000, the 4.0L OHV Went away, and it was only the 4.0L OHC and 5.0L. In 2002, the 4.6L 2V V8 Replaced the 5.0L and then in 2006, the 2V 4.6L was replaced by the 3V 4.6L V8.

Expeditions have always had either a 4.6L V8 or 5.4L gasoline V8, until 2004, when the 5.4L was standard, and 05 got the 3V 5.4L V8

The only Ford Diesel SUVs that Ford Made for US production is the Ford Excursion. There were/are no currently produced Diesel Explorers, Escapes, Expeditions, Mountaineers, Navigators and Aviators that run on Diesel for the US Market.

Please do take a picture. There's no mention of them anywhere and and that alone makes the article questionable. I saw not one conversion Navigator in the LA area.

Excursions are diesel but that's it for the US Ford lineup.

I'm not sure what you're questioning about the article, but Dr. Alan Bittner is a real person with a history of medical malpractice and shysterism. One of his patients tells her story...

right into the fuel tank of his SUV. Bittner called his thigh-test fuel "lipo-diesel." We call it revolting, but we're also stepping out on a limb and calling his bluff.
It seems some investigators from the California Department of Public Health (not to mention the state Board of Registration in Medicine and a host of other agencies) wanted to talk to the Beverly Hills "liposculpture" specialist but found he'd skipped town. Forbes.com reports Bittner has shuttered his medical practice on Rodeo Drive, and his website notes that he's moved to "Bogata" (sic), Colombia.
We're all for recycling, alternative fuels and that general green kind of thing —€” but we draw the line at human-waist waste, which is why we wonder if he really did it. In other words, we're flabbergasted by his over-the-top (or under-the-bottom) story.
It isn't a stretch to think that someone could use human fat to make biodiesel. After all, any animal or vegetable fat contains triglycerides that can be used to make diesel. As Forbes.com notes, a gallon of fat yields about a gallon of fuel, and Bittner was awash in the stuff.
"The vast majority of my patients request that I use their fat for fuel — and I have more fat than I can use," Bittner wrote on his website, lipodiesel.com, which has since been taken down. "Not only do they get to lose their love handles or chubby belly, but they get to take part in saving the Earth."
Now, the mainstream media have done a pretty good job separating fact from fiction lately, and there is precedent for using human fat to power vehicles, but three clues leave us leery of Bittner's claims.

The only diesel SUV I know of is the Ford Excursion. Either the 7.3L or the 6.0.
