I picked up the 83 240/300d today from

the indie. I have been driving my 95 chevy wagon around for a couple of weeks...herding it would be more like it. The wagon is just humongous and squishy and the steering is just so completely numb. The only thing it really does well is accelerate, which it is most impressive at.

The little 240 suddenly feels like a go kart!

Its really good to have it back.

Check the steering box on the Chevy. It has an adjustment to tighten it same as on the MB. If you find it just too slow, you can get a faster ratio box from an Impala/9C1 car.

Not at the moment!

I don't think the box is loose... just numb!
