Real simple injector question...

That has not revealed itself through a search... What size is an injector inlet on the OM606? I've heard once that it's a 6mm reverse flare. I also heard all the engines have the same injector fitting. Is that correct?

Thanks!

Are you speaking of the threaded portion the Hard Line Nut screws onto or the cone shaped part on the end of the Hard Lines?

The cone shaped ends on the hard lines are not flared, they are most often Silver Brazed onto the hard line tubing. The other way to make them is to make them from the tubing itself with a swedging machine that mushes the metal into the cone shape.

I'm talking about the threaded portion on the top that the hard line attaches to. I need to make a pop tester and I was going to use a piece of brake line with the reverse cone already built into it.

I don't have any "pick and pull" type junk yards around here otherwise, I'd just go buy an old injector line.

I think the injector line is your best bet. I do not believe the fitting is a standard one. I use a injector line and a modified delivery valve holder on my pop tester.

That's what I was afraid of. I wanted to see if it could be done with of the shelf parts. Maybe I can find something on e-bay.

The Injector end of the older Diesel VW Rabbits is the same size as the ones on Mercedes. In fact the Injectors in my Car came from a VW Rabbit but have Monark Nozzles for Mercedes and Pop pressure set at 135 bar.

Rather than Ebay you might start another thread and as some of the Members if they have a spare Hard Line.

Actually as luck would have it, another member just stepped up via PM and offered up a spare line. Folks here are awesome!
