Off the wall question
I have a 75 Triumph TR6 that I want to put a diesel into. Alas MB diesels are too large to fit into the engine compartment. VW diesels would be great but they are front wheel drive.
1st question: Does anyone know of a 5 speed rear wheel transmission that will bolt up to a VW diesel engine? 2nd question: Anyone got any suggestions as to a 4 cylinder diesel and 5 speed rear wheel transmission setup that might fit and that I can get parts for? I have an 81 Isuzu 1.8 diesel, but can't find parts for it.
