Nice. Looks similar to the one I made. I bet it will work quite well.

It's tough to say without knowing the grade of the gauge. Even if it's 2% though, that only adds up to about 3 bar at 2500 PSI. The nice thing about a bigger gauge is that there's more space between the markings for easier reading. On that particular gauge, you're looking at close to 7 bar for each mark.

Come on down Tony! Maybe I'll get a chance to pull an injector and test it this weekend for leaks. Once that's done, I'll post my parts list.

Most of the cheaper gauges are most accurate in the middle range like, middle third or so. IIRC, grade B = 2% mid range, 3% on the ends. Grade A = 1% mid range and 2% on the ends. Grade 1A = 1% over the whole range.

ok, just looking at the face, you guys think it's a grade b? should I be looking for a specific type of gauge?

Very nice looking pop tester you've assembled for yourself.

I'm working on one myself. (Working on means I've been mulling over designs and parts for over a year.) I think some day soon I'll wrap up my ideas and order parts. The base for my design will likely be heavy steel, just to be sure the thing stays nice and stable. Finding a thick chunk of rusty metal sticking out of the ground in my back yard just a few weeks ago sort of sealed the deal for me. (Then again, I might use it to build a pedestal stand for one of my bench grinders.) I'd be very interested to see your materials list before I get started. (I get off on reading BOM's... Must be the engineer genes in me.)

(I seem to like parenthesis today.)

Legal and acceptable use, just don't abuse the apostrophe.

I used that gauge in my tester and have had the pop pressure of injectors I have tested confirmed by a diesel injection shop. It works fine.

Good to know that particular gauge works, and kudos to you for getting your results verified. In the case of any homebrewed injector pop tester, I'd always suggest having at least one injector tested professionally to verify the accuracy of your setup.
