Question Harbor Freight Leak-Down tester?

Has anybody used the HF leak down tester for a leak down on our diesel cars?

I already have the HF compression test kit, is there a way to combine them to make them work? I want to know before I go buy one, since HF is a drive for me.

thanks!
dd

The quick connects on both kits that I have are compatible. You can make it work.

Call to make sure the store you're going to has the kit in stock, and make them walk to the shelf and check! Their computer inventory system is famous for being completely wrong.

What is the number of your paricular Leak Back Test Kit.
As, I believe I remember seeing that they had 2 different Leak Backe test kits.

I don't actually know, as Harbor Freight has a tendency to use about the most useless glue in the universe to affix their labels, so they frequently fall off. I will say that it looks exactly like the 94190 kit.

Compression checker has a schrader valve, leak down does not. Herein lies the problem.

No problem at all. My compression test set only has a valve on the end of the hose. All that is needed from the compression test set in order to hook the leak-down gauges up are the adapters from the compression test set.

Anyway, if for some reason the designs are different now, a schrader valve is easy enough to remove.
