I've got two 115s but neither are RHDs. Can you post a picture of the messed-up part?

For more air you would open up the ports, use a hi flow air filter or add a turbo. One way would be to find a 617 turbo in good shape and retrofit, double your power.
3 sentences here, all wrong and bad advice.

1) DPF in 240D, very funny. We are talking about few yrs old technology that is computer controlled, injects fuel from the tank etc. try to adapt it into 30+ yrs old car. It's problematic enough in brand new car

2) Hi flow air filter You mean like K&N? If yes, then NO, don't do it
3) Turbo into non-turbo? Big nono

And very expensive. $3,000+ just for the filter and cat.

The semi trucks I work on cost $8,000 in parts alone to replace the DPF and OxCat.

After I adjusted my valves, ran some power services diesel kleene through it, and changed all the filters. I was driving and thought " where the F$%^ are people getting that this thing is soooo dog slow? It gets with traffic just fine.
Sorry for the venting, but it is a 60s era diesel, and does exactly as it was designed to do, VERY well. Provide fuel efficient and ample power to carry you safely and reliably for anywhere from 300k miles to who knows.. maybe a million?
Except for when it's still cold, or sometimes, trying to pass uphill, I have no real gripes with the performance of my automatic 240D. Of course I didn't buy the car for it's acceleration, but to take some of the wear & tear off my "98 Nissan, especially for local errands, where my 240D excels. I have driven other automatic 240Ds that were much slower than mine, and one or two that seemed quicker, so there is alot of variaton out there.
Anyway, if I'm in a hurry, I can take the Nissan, or now, my 5-speed 300TD.

A RHD W115 is going to be a tough to find here in the US.
If there are no scrap RHD W115s left in your part of the world, there must be at least one other running RHD W115 in Austrailia (or another RHD country) you could track down to get a look or obtain a photo of the accelerator linkage.
