That makes no sense....mine could chirp the 1st to second before and with, the straight pipe.....if not slightly better with the straight pipe.

Its probably the new nozzles. Those will make much more difference in power and running than minor exhaust changes.

Hahaha, what a coincidence, just put an AERO Turbine on mine! Its a 3.5 incher that came on my duramax when i got it. I put a custom made 6" straight pipe side exit on it and had the old stocker exhaust and AERO layin round, so i put it on! I cut the stock system off right before the resonator and used a 3-bolt header/collector reducer flange turned backwards and slipped inside the stock pipe, so it expands from stock to 3" and a good run of 3" pipe to the AERO where it still utilizes some stock D-max 3.5" pipe for bends, so the 3" is slid inside it where i metal fit the two sizes togather and welded. Now the AERO is suspended by custom bracketry and has a nice 3.5" pipe slipped into the end of the muffler and out under the bumper to a nice mitre cut end! And sounds deep and rumbley and i love it

Skippy~ As for perception: Drive what you like and can afford. Those who don't like it can supply vacuum to one of your components. LOL

If you need parts, I have some!

I now wished i had cut the 3-bolt flange off the collector piece, looks crappy but oh well, its under the car and causes no harm. I have a 2.5" Aeroturbine on my car: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=1827

Seems to work well. It got rid of the straight pipe drone.
