Excuse my ignorance but....do they all sound like that from the inside or does he have a sports exhaust of some sort?

I thought it was really cool. Those 240's with the 5 speed are faster than I thought they were.

Public street racing is cool ? Not playing a fool is cool ,trying to throw this vehicle around on public roads with a zero performance underneath them is asking for trouble. The brakes werent even up to parr as it almost threw the car into the other lane under heavy braking .Im guessing these guys will be dead before their 30s ,hopefully not taking anyone with them.Save it for a road coarse. My preaching is over ,you may continue.

Not sure you could really call it 'racing' in a 240D, but what a moron. It sounds like his muffler rusted off too.

No, the cabin of my manual 240D is very quiet but that is without the apparent straight pipe exhaust those DA's are using.

In my experience and opinion the 240D is typically quieter inside than the TurboDiesel except for when the shifter linkage bushings get worn and need replacing every ten years or so.
