Wire "splice" Affect "Light Out" relay OR Cruise ?
(Wunnerful,Wunnerful PO installed trailer light harness with the Blue Clip Locs
on the OE wiring) Now Your Questions: 1.'Will the "Light Out" relay be able to sense a resistance change, if I just "Butt Splice" the two ends of each "Defilement" (After cutting out the Loc) ? 1a.'Will the Cruise Control refuse to "Hold" as a result of such Splicing? 2.Maybe Easier,Quicker (And Smarter)...Un-loc the trash (and throw it away) 'Cover the breaks in the insulation with Liquid Electrical Tape? What Say You?

1. The butt splice is not a significant source of resistance.
1a. Nope 2. Not a bad idea. It's pretty easy to open up and remove those type connectors. If it was me and the damage to the wire was fairly significant, I'd cut the wire, strip it back a little, slide on a piece of heat shrink and solder it back together. You can use heat shrink that has sealant inside it for a completely watertight seal.
