1992 300D flex disk
Trying to remove old flex disk from my car, all the bolts are out but there is not enough room to get it out. The shaft does not slide back enough to get the old disk out, what am I missing. I changed the one on my 1986 300E and I had no problems.

No replys? Well I got the old one off, had to lower the tranny mount, take off the heat shield and the bracket that it was bolted on. Got the new flex disk in but not bolted up, getting to dark. I will finish it up tomorrow, that is a pain.

One question, which way do you face the words on the disk? Words facing the front of the car? That is the way the old one was, is that right?

I placed mine tonight so that the words were facing the rear. This is how it came off. But I don't think it makes a difference.

Got it done, put words facing the front. That is the way the old one came out.
