w124 door lock button removal
When I replaced the driver's regulator I never did get the lock button off. I used a bungie chord to hold it out of the way while I worked. When the handle came loose last week, I had to remove the door panel again to make the repair. Again, I couldn't remove the stupid door lock button. Funny that I can r&r the window regulator but can't figure out how to remove the lock button. Any ideas?

Unsure how you can do anything with the button installed, but...Its plastic over a metal core which threads on to the lift rod. The plastic sometimes spins on the core. Cut off the head, remove the door panel completely. Now you can hold the lock rod with a vise grip plier and attack the remains of the button.
