New Mercedes Enthusiast...Need Help

Hi guys.
My name is Nick and so far I've owned about 4 Mercedes and currently have only 2, a 1980 240D and 1992 300E SportLine. I dont know anything about these cars I just love driving them. I mean I know where the filters are and how to change the oil and brakes, but that's about it.
I have a 1980 240D with 155K miles, auto that I bought several months ago. This was a project car, and it appeared as a good deal at the time. When I bought it the car had broken the timing chain and the previous owner had tried fixin it but that had turned out with negative results. Well I bought the car hopping to find a decent mechanic that could fix it; however, didn't have much luck with that. I didn't know if the valves were bent or not so I decided to find another engine and do a swap. Anyway, I found another engine for a resonable price that had been rebuilt 40K miles ago, (or so I was told by the seller). My friend that has a mechanic shop installed it; however, he isn't a mercedes mechanic so we are kind of stuck as to what parts in top of engine need to be connected (gas pedal, gas control). If anyone has some good resolution pix, of the top of the engine that culd guide me to install mine, pls post them or email them to me and I would greatly appriciate it. Right know I am stuck with an extra engine tha COULD be rebuild, and a bunch of extra parts.
Anyway, any help will do guys...thnx

I'll see if I can get a chance to put up few pics. It's a little different than the 300D's linkages shown in the previous post.

From a 1980 240D:

Granted, this is from a manual tranny 240D, which will have less of a linkage situation......
Hopefully somebody will have pics which show the extra vacuum hookups for that.

Mine is an 83 so it would have been different than the 80.
Ditto on the nice engines.
