most often, it's the retun lines that are leaking and need replacement. Quite cheap. Plenty on the subject here. You can buy the hose from fastlane here.

Other people have had luck replacing them with various other tubing, but the dealer part is cheap, and I live close.

until you change those very inexpensive hoses, I wouldn't mess with the injectors - resetting torque or otherwise. If you do decide to remove the injectors, have a set of heat shields on hand to switch out with.

The Injectors very, very, very seldom leak between the upper and lower Injector Bodies; and having 3 of them leak would be extremely unusual. The exception would be if your Injectors have been taken apart for some reason.
There is easily a 99% chance that the leaks are being caused by those skinny fuel return hoses.

"Leaking" Injectors
I agree with the posters who suggest replacing all of the fuel return lines, including the one from the spin on filter to the first injector. The hose is inexpensive, and if you have never replaced it, the old hose is almost always a little leaky. However, I would also suggest that you check your spin-on fuel filter carefully. Once, I though I had a leak at the first couple of injectors, and then learned that the filter had been replaced without an o-ring, so a fine spray of fuel was leaking from the top of the fuel filter and spraying onto the front of the engine. It only looked like it was leaking from the injectors.

Quick question, do the injector return lines simply pull off and the new ones push back on?

if it won't come off by pulling, you might have to cut them, but do it carefully with a razor knife to avoid scoring the injector nipples. |
