First step,
Remove old compressor, drier and expansion valve. Buy a Hi-Lo pressure switch that will stop the compressor if the freon pressure gets either too high or too low. The factory only had a low cut off switch. Flush all the lines, evaporator, and condensor. Flush compressor with the oil you will be using. Install new expansion valve, then install compressor. You have to work fast from this point...Pour half the oil into the compressor, and the rest into the drier, install the drier, and immediately pull the vacuum on the system. Spin compressor, not just the idler to avoid oil locking the compressor. Charge w/r-12. Start up the system. Continue charging until you get to the proper pressures. I
