How Many Temp Sender Switch in a 617.95?
How come it looks like there are two of these temp sender switches on my cylinder head. Doesn't it need only one? It says "1 per Car" in the parts haus web site but those two things look exactly alike that are attached to my cylinder head. I think one (or both) are bad because my temp gauge won't go above 60c.
Thanks, bigmaq

There's just one for the gauge on the side of the head.
Any pictures of the setup?

are they both on the same side of the head near the IP?
if so, one is for the egr or glow relay, the other is the sender to the dash, Try switching them next time your car is warm before you go and replace it. |

From the outside these two look exactly the same. However, it looks like the rear one (bet. #3 and #4 cylinders), the temp sender switch, has a smaller "sensor" than the egr one. I may have inadvertently switched them when I took out the head, so I just switched them back.
Thanks, bigmaq
