blower motor, can it go faster?
I have been working on the climate control system for a few weeks. so far I have fixed the AC system and after many trials fixed or replaced all of the vacuum actuators and switchover valves. I believe it is now working to factory specs. the issue is this. now that all of the vents are moving, my AC sucks. when I originally fixed the AC, the vacumm wasnt working to the switchovers and a few valves and pods were bad. so my system was :
open recirc closed floor closed defrost closed main flap open top this resulted in ice cold air blowing in my face at good velocity now with the system fixed and AC on high fan on high the sysstem is: open recirc open main partially open defrost open floor open top this results in a pittance of cold air blowing in my face and it takes about 30 minutes to cool the car. I kinda liked the high velocity cold air in the face, I was wondering if the blower speeds can be increaesed or if anyone has put in a bigger blower motor, maybe from a bigger or newer MB? could the old one just be weak?
