Throttle linkage adjustments for 300D (1975)
Does anybody have instructions on how to adjust the throttle linkages. There are two rods to adjust (one that goes to the inj. pump, and another that goes to the manifold side of the engine).
What does the linkage on the manifold side of the engine do? |

I would not mess with any off the Linkeage until you can get detailed info. Unfortunately my CD Manual is for a 123 not a 115 so I cannot help.

Thought it was normal until my more experienced friend showed me the linkages & I could see then that there was around an inch of play in the linkages from the pedal before the rod that actually increases the revs.. engaged. Ended up eyeballing the whole setup & took out all the play to where I had pretty much instant throttle response & felt like a whole diff engine.. Then I ended up seeing in the FSM that there was a detailed procedure for setting up the linkages. Though my engine seemed to be wonderful after taking all the play out of the linkages, what kinda things can go wrong not doing it right? |
