AC work needed in 87 300sdl

As much as I love sweating in central Texas with 104 degree days I think it’s time to work on the a/c system. It does blow cool, but when temps climb to 90+ it just can’t keep up.

Has anyone used the Freeze 12 system.

http://autorefrigerants.com/co00030.htm

I’ve been reading as much as I can, but as always it’s great to talk to people that have used it.

Thanks

The archives are full of info on Freeze-12 and all other alternate refrigerants. Do some work and search for it.

In summary, Freeze-12 is a blend of R-134. I performs in similar manner to R-134. If you want the performance that the vehicle was designed with, it must be converted back to R-12.

If you do go with Freeze-12, you're on your own..........no shop will touch it in the future.

Why would you want to use Freeze 12 in a system designed for R12?
