what holds the window switches on the center console?

This thing? Thats supposed to hold the window switches? Does it have a name?

Half my switches fall throught the matrix thats supposed to hold them... I'd like to get a replacement, but I have no idea what the blimer is called, or how I can get a new one.

Well you made an oops. The thing that holds the center console switches is the black plastic thing all the switches are in, in the picture above. However that black plastic thing is attached to the wood trim via glue and all those small metal points sticking up as shown in the picture. So you have separated the wood trim from the black plastic holder. Go on Ebay and see if you can buy a used wood trim for the car. Otherwise you will have to remove the switch holder and re-glue and staple it back on the wood trim, which is not an easy task without damaging the wood trim.
Or you can go to the dealer and see if you can get a new wood trim piece.

Check the parts for sale section, there is at least one 126 being parted there. I might also have one, can check if you strike out in parts.

Mercifully I only "broke" what was already broken, albiet in a new way.

I tore it appart because it wasnt holding switches. I didnt, however, know it wasnt meant to come apart. I spent four-five mintes trying to put it back together one afternoon, but havent really invested much time because, in this disassembled state, I can operate my window controls, whereas in the wood console, its impossible to operate, as I cant grasp the window switch directly and it falls through the console.

Anyways, I'll look for the center console wood trim part. Thanks!

Mine fell off the trim piece on one side too. I used an epoxy, and a fine set of precision pliers to realign the staples back into their original holes, one at a time. Really wasn't that hard actually, just took a bit of finesse.
