Glow plug reaming

Hi im interested in learning to ream out the gp hole.
Dont mean to sound nasty but thats what id like to learn to do.
Also does anybody recommend any particular type or brand of reamer out there?
I have seen so far Mb brand and a kit form mercedes source with a little brush etc.

Winter will be here, i plan on removing testing and cleaning rather than just replacing gp's , just to be thrifty at this moment.
If i can learn to clean out carbon deposits as much as possible that may be a good way to save, normally i just do all new glow plugs but that can get expensive, especially since my parts supplier has risen prices at least 30%, according to them the dollar is in such devauation and the euro has not so our parts are now worth so much more.

I have a Bosch reamer. Pretty straight forward. Try and start the reamer in the threads, if you need to, tap lightly on the end while turning, good luck with that, to help cut into any carbon build up to get to the threads. Be careful to not cross thread. If it binds up, back it out and clean off the blades, reinsert to complete the reaming.
The kit I have also has a small brush. When done use a shop vac to suck out any debris.

The reamers are not universal, and depend on the engine your working on. I got mine from Ebay, El Paso tools. As mentioned by other posters, just start it into the hole, and if it starts to bind, just back it out and clean the tip a start over. It is also advised to cover the tip and flutes with grease to grab the carbon as it cuts through. Good luck....

When you are done reaming crank you Engine with the Manual Shutoff in the Off Position and loose carbon will be blown out (protect your eyes and cover your Fender).

It would be nice to know what Car/Engine you are speaking of as Glow Plugs sometimes snap off when removing theom on the Models with Aluminum Heads and Long Glow Plugs.

Reamer

I made my reamer out of a old glow plug.Just hammer the end flat, then sharpen into a two edge sword.Make sure it wont cut glow plug threads.
