Does anyone have the McMaster Carr number for the viton return line number. I have looked at there web site and can not find the number.thanks

Does the thin viton work just as well as the thicker viton for return lines?

I have the thin om the 82 and it is somewhat delicate if you have to remove it more than once. I have had it split when trying to reattach it after installing injectors.

The thin stuff isn't a durable. It will work but it's not going to last nearly as long. I've had the thicker walled stuff on my wagon for nearly 4 years with no issues.

It should not be reused without cutting off the ends to expose fresh hose (the part that was attached to a nipple because the nipple expands the hose.
If the hose was long enough to begin with, reused Viton hose will fit fine, no leaks. Trouble is most lengths are short so that if you cut it off it is too short to reuse. I learned this the hard way.

My Viton fuel injector return lines were installed about three years ago, and when trying to remove them the other day, every single one broke instead of sliding off the nipple--not sure if that's usual?? Cleaning them took a tedious while and I wasted about 20 minutes per injector before using the "special tool" (chenille wire) shown below--worked much faster to clean off the sticky Viton.

I wouldn't use them. Nothing's wrong with the standard stuff.

Unless you run biodiesel or veg. I'm a biodiesel user and I'm ready to start replacing lines again.

I find it breaks too
 

I usually make my lines a couple inches longer than necessary in case it brakes. I get mine from Greaseworks cheaper than mcmaster and no guessing about the correct #. I buy 20ft at a time so have lots handy. Cheers Dan

The kit for my car is $114.50:smhair2: I think I'll just put my own together.

Viton is expensive material.
The injector return lines kit's aren't nearly that expensive.
I don't use the pure viton hoses, I use the viton lined SAE90R9 hose. Much cheaper and more durable.

Thanks for the tip. I'd prefer to buy local and none of the local suppliers carry Viton hose. I'll check back with them about the other stuff. I have a feeling I may still have to buy it off the internet.
