There is nothing to brag about for low mileage cars. You may get few $$ when you sell it but not by much. I can make all mine to 000000. A diesel is to be driven to appreciate it, not sitting in the garage or barn somewhere.

A car cannot be treated as 'heirloom' as such unless it is put into a musemum. 240D/300D is not classic enough to go up in value. I have seen a lot of 'heirloom' that no one want, that includes watches, jewels and china etc in my family. But if one enjoys the 'shock and awe' by spectators in car shows then may be it is well worth the money.

Happy to do it. I've already fielded a few calls, and am glad to oblige.

I've always been a believer of not being a slave to material things, like low mileage cars - use them when you can.

Then again, you can have a car to be driven daily, AND still keep a low mileage one in storage. Gerkebi is living that dream

1984 300cd 65k

The 1984 300cd I picked up last year shows 64,780 with a working odo ,Its carfax shows no activity ,none .Last driven in 1996 ,tags are showing the same on the window.Funny how a low mileage car has some other identifiers, one is a very pristine steering wheel ,it still has a roughness like when it was new.
