what is this?
hey i'm starting to trace some leaks on my 82 300TD and one of them is coming from this (located behind the rear diff). what is it? i want to check the level of the fluid that is leaking from it...

Looks like a SLS control valve

The SLS control valve is expensive, but on the 123 I'm told it can be resealed.

Yes it is the SLS AND YES IT CAN BE REAEALED.
