I did...I just didn't mentioned it. I took the valve out and elongated the spring back to spec. Thanks though!

I'm going to go do the rack damper now and I'll post back in a bit.

So the idle was a little rough this morning, feeling like an occasional misfire, but not nearly as bad as it's been the past. I checked the rack damper and it was screwed all the way in. I backed it out one turn to see what would happen and it may have helped, but hard to tell.

Will keep the thread updated as I know there are several other folks who have this mystery problem, have done lots of work, and still haven't seen much improvement. Thanks again for everyone's help.

sometimes the spring goes bad and you need a new rack dampener bolt.
