Bosio nozzle source for 95 e300d 606.131

Been looking all over for Bosio nozzles for my 606.131. DieselGiant doesn't have any in stock and Kermatdi can't seem to get them either. I first tried with C. Sean Watts back in Jan., 2009.

I found a source in Europe but the guy needs the number off the actual injector to order the nozzles.

Can anyone suggest possible sources? I've got the original nozzles in there and they need to be replaced.

This is the Bosch North America site; see what you can find here with the parts locator. It will give you Bosch Part numbers.

I have not read that the any Bosch Nozzles besides the 617 type Nozzles are made in India. (However, there is a thread dealing with some fake newer nozzles bought on Ebay.)

The newer ones look like the below pic with a flat spot (Facet) on the Pintels (The Monark Nozzles use this also).

Monark

Heard from a Monark supplier that they don't make nozzles for the e300d. Rats.

After 235,000 miles, yeah, they're definitely due for a rebuild. I ordered mine about 2 years ago from DieselGiant and they shipped right out. I have no idea why nobody has them in stock.

KermaTdi has his "finger on the pulse" of nozzle supplies for sure, so if he can't get them, there's probably some kind of shortage.

KermaTdi is the North American destributor for the Bosio Nozzles. Other re-salers buy from them.

I'm looking into these, as we speak.

I have done some research into these. The OM606 used a nozzle that wasn't in production very long. That would explain the price ($65 for the nozzle only, from Bosch.) They are NOT like the others and there is a significant difference you'll see when you take the needle out. Outside dimensions are the same as other "S" nozzles.

I'm waiting to hear back from a relative in Germany about these and if there are any approved substitutes.

Just installed Bosch rebuilds this morning. Remarkable difference in power and acceleration. Idles much smoother. With only 30 miles on these they're still a little noisy at idle. I'll give them a couple hundred miles before reevaluating them. If they stay noisy, I'll send them back. They're india rebuilt bosch. I didn't have to send my MB injectors back, so if the india rebuilds don't work out, I'll go for a set of bosio's if you can get them.

update...with about 60 miles on the india rebuilds, they're still a little noisy at idle, but acceleration is greatly improved over the originals. No tick, tick, tick at 65 mph like before.

Question: Are the injector bodies subject to any internal wear or is it only the nozzle end?

Bosch nozzles from India

Relative to the comment about only 617 nozzles being made in India, the 603 Bosch nozzles are also made in India. I ordered a set of new nozzles from Bosch and all had "Made in India" stamped on them. One of the nozzles was junk from time zero and by the time I finished a 4K trip, two others were gone. I bought a set of Bosios and replaced all six Bosch units. I then put the pintles under a microscope and the failed nozzles had deep scratches in each of them. Doing some research via a relative in Germany, it appears that Bosch sold the right to make the nozzles to India for 1 million dollars BUT did not provide their patented hardness procedures for the nozzles and pintles. That either was another bunch of dollars or simply not for sale. I heard about an individual in Florida who had 4 out of 5 fail in less than a thousand miles.
