How do you tighten alternator belt on w115?

Hey guys, I know this is really a no brainer because there are only so many bolts to mess with but which one?

Is it the one at the bottom of the alternator or the one at the top? The one at the top sucks, they put the belt directly over it and I can't get my socket wrench in there, but then again I don't know if that's even the right one..

Thanks everyone...

All the bolts have to be loosened to adjust it.

I seem to remember the tensioner pully bolt being an eccentric on my 115 240D.

Alright guys how about removing the Alternator? LOL

I tightened the belt, checked the wires and the darn generator light is still on.. I want to take it to AutoZone because I know they do alternator testing there but how do you get the darn thing out? It's such a tight space..

loosen the bottom pivot bolt, and then loosen the belt and then just take out both bolts, don't loose the spacer on the top adjustment bolt.

You should have a 35 amp alt in that car.

So the alternator came off last night (which was a PITA) and I'm taking it today to get tested out to see if it's still good.. The wires however turned out to be kinda messed up, upon closer inspection one black wire was snapped and the other looks like it's in bad shape... So regardless I need one and might need the other one... IS this where a jy car kicks in? Where do I find these wires..

I need this car ready in 4 days for so cal gtg?!?!?
