Hall effect sensor W124

Hello every one,

May be this is naive question. Are the Hall effect sensors the same on a W124 260E 1988 and a 300CE 1992 both gasoline?

Wife's one: C-class 220CDI Sport Coupé, Euro, 2002, W203. 345 000km

Son's one: GLK class 220CDI, 2009, W204

Sold E class 260E, W124, 1988 beloved car sold after 489 000 kilometres of reliable services (engine M103, clutch and 5 speed manual gear box all original).

E-class, W210 320CDI, 2000[/B], 225 000km, Sold

it should be the same part, at least it is according to the parts ordering software i use.

You'd be much better off posting this in the gasser section of the forum, as diesels don't have ignition systems...

I am going to guess they are the same. Hopefully someone will chime in that knows for sure.

They'll want a US based Credit card # just to prove you're their customer.

Then you can look up the Hall Effect Sensors and see if the Parts numbers Match.

I cross checked from a 91 201 gasser to a 86 201 diesel - part #'s are the same. HTH

Its just a 3 point contact device - the cruise amp does all the custom calculations...
