steering issue
soo...i recently replaced the ball joints and tie rods and ends on my 83 300sd....upon reassembly/alignment was complete, the power steering is not working correctly. i can turn the wheel at any condition/position to the left and every works correctly, at any condition/postition a right turn has little to zero power steering assist. debris? steering dampner?

Remove the damper first, to test. I had this happen on an old Pontiac I had. Turned out to be a failing steering box. Also check the idler arm, and see if something is rubbing or binding. Also look for scratch or wear moarks.
Raise up the front end, and see if you can move the steering linkage. Since there is no load, you may not be able to test it conclusively with the engine running.

check your power steering fluid level?

checked and replaced power steering fluid....test drove the car again and not under any circumstance can i get a right turn to work correctly....before the mtx i had zero issues....if the pump was failing would the pump favor a turn to one side vs the other? mmmm...dampner will come off tmrw

It is most likley in the gearbox. Lack of power assist only one direction or another is usually caused by an internal leak in the box, allowing the volume of fluid to get to the return before enough pressure can build up. The system creates it's pressure based on a certain volume of fluid, not enough volume, not enough pressure.
