Compression test results, OM602.962 (300D 2,5 Turbo) 1992

Car has near 400k mi. I took a compression test through the injector ports. Engine was real cold, like 30°F, so I plugged in the block heater for 1h inside garage before doing the test.

I have obtained 265-280 psi after 5 strokes on all 5 cylinders.

The car had problems to start with dropping temperatures recently (glow plugs are Ok). I sent all injectors to a shop and had them tested. Two of them were in bad shape (leaking and poor spray pattern).

They are now fitted with new nozzles (Bosch) and have been properly calibrated.

I'll post how the engine behaves when I get the car back next week.

Bye,
