Talking mw superpump, bad ideas abound

This is my firstpost on here, as well as forums in general for the most part. Been stalking for years, but if I couldnt find my answer, just meant I had to figure it out. Might have something to offer in return here so I signed up. This could turn out to be nothing but lets find out. Ive got a yj wrangler ive been prepping for a 617 swap, its winter though and I have a car port, no garage. Idle hands and whantnot, I need an indoor project. Decided im gonna go ahead and dive right in by attempting to do some exploratory surgery on an american mw injection pump. While I have it in pieces, im even going to be so bold as to attempt replacing the stock elements with 8mm elements and hardware. I know. Madness. Well in the worst case scenario, this should still be a great thread for reference and anyone else inclined towards bad ideas since as far as I can tell, there arent any complete mw pump dissection/rebuild threads. Ive sourced the elements, along with some wise words of caution, I am just waiting for those to come, and id like one more spare pump to have as a reference while im playing with the other, I dont want to use the one on my donor for this. The plan is to not fail and then have this pump calibrated over at midwest fuel injection. Im an optimistic guy, what can I say? Basically posting this now in case theres pertinent info anyone wants to contribute, or someone has requests for specific project data of some kind before I get started. Pictures to come.
