My 93 300d ate its vacuum pump, apparently without major damage. It will have to have a new one installed as well as the drive gear. I also need to have the timing chain replaced (it still has the Japanese one). Because the fuel injection pump must be removed to replace the drive gear, I will not EVEN try it.

Anybody know of a good, AFFORDABLE, mechanic in the Augusta, Statesboro, Savannah Georgia area?
