What kind of emissions test is being performed on the car? In the USA we typically have an opacity test for diesels during which a light is passed thru the exhaust and measured. If your test is similar, can you post the % results? Based on your youtube video, I would have said you would have no trouble passing an opacity test.
As a desperate measure to pass an emissions test, I might try running the engine on straight diesel purge. It seems to burn much cleaner than diesel fuel and might get you thru the test. A little pricey for the purge perhaps but it could be worth it.

thanks
Take the breather hose off and clean it out or at least make sure it is not partially obstructed. Good that you already did the air filter.

pouring a quart of (name your liquid) in your tank to cure smoking, increase mpg a bunch and increase power a lot, has been around as long as the car. why don't you add a quart of acetone to that turpentine so that you'll double mpg too?

Sri Lanka? Goodness man you are way out there!

I did a little searching and you're governments Ministry of Transport website is as vague as my state's DMV page

Call your inspection station and ask what they look for in a safety and emission check.

With the limited amount of blowby you have there should be little out the exhaust pipe. How many miles per litre of base engine oil per kilometer or miles does this engine consume. If you feel at least say fifteen hundred kilometers per litre engine wear it is not your smoking issue.
Hello,
I beleve that you know the element, you have to remove from the IP when you do the timing and the spring too, I guess those were replace and the barrel thing it fits into, or not my dad's memory is a little dodggy sometimes, I guess the IP was rebuilt, but I replaced the diaphragm to, the job was done one and a half to three years ago and then the diaphragm was replaced by me in 2009 I did'nt know what else to do, also the injectors were pop pressure tested and shims were added after that we recently had to get the injectors pop pressure tested and have more shims added again, still theres something strange about the injectors you see the springs ALWAYS end up wearing out in an oder like this:

injector for 1st piston : the spring wears out a little
injector for 2nd piston : the spring wears out more that the first
injector for 3rd piston : the spring wears out more than the second
injector for 4th piston : the spring wears out more than the third and when you get to this injector you end up with a stack of shims and I mean a stack
I dismantled each injector without messin up the shims and cleaned them in kerosene
Thanks

I ran the car on kerosene for a few miles and left it over night before changing it to diesel next morning

errr... I'm sort of concentrating on fixing the problem instead of hiding I understand that that it helps the fuel burn better but I don't want to have to kinda keep putting turpentine in the tank just to stop smoking would it help if I just ran it for once to clean it although I already used kerosene and ran it for a few miles and and left it over night
