Only if you don't care whether you will break/crush the plastic and then need a new one, otherwise you need to remove the plastic cam block. Spray some penatrant on it and wiggle it back and forth it should con off but it's usually tight.

The 10.9's are available at NAPA. They are blue in color, I think. I agree, PB blaster or some such miracle penetrant is advisable.

I took it a step further, heat on the block casting, put the bolt in the freezer overnight.

Sure, I pulled it first. It shouldn't be larger out front. You could never get it on if it was. After removing the keeper, I'd try to file the head down on that mushroom. The plastic piece will be easier to get off.

Don't pry against the plastic piece. You don't need it breaking. It's probably not an easy piece to replace.
