There is Sand Point Park, or Fox Lake Park. I Know both locations have car shows from time to time! Fox Lake prob has more room, but Sand Point has a better location right off of US1 & Hwy406(garden Street).
Or maybe the parking lot where the old Walmart(and Belks) was. It is right on Garden St(hwy 406) 1/2 block west of Singleton Av. Lots of room to park, In the same parking lot as Publix, across the street from McDonalds, Wendys, and Subway. But again no shade!

I concur... That should have been brought up initially. It's "a little late in the game" now.
I don't mind driving up there. The cool thing about having it at Pete's is that maintenance can be done there without anyone complaining about it, tools available, etc... I would be open for a different location next time. Any ideas?

How about someone talk with pete and ask what the deal is.
we have a month and a half.I wouldnt mind meeting somewhere else,I would prefer a shaded area though.A park perhaps or something like that. |

as far as I know its still going to be there.. 79Mercy and I are putting this on and Pete is letting us do it as his shop. he has no hand in this other than letting us meet and hang out at the shop then drive somewhere for lunch.
I will be at the shop probably thursday prior to clean up and get stuff ready. If anyone else in the area wants to help that would be great. this will be the last time there will be a gtg at his place, next time we will go elsewhere |

after this GTG we will convey and figure out our new place. Petes place will no longer be used as a gtg place after this. Stuart and I are in charge of this and will be doing everything. Only thing Pete has to do is come out as well and hang out and share his knowledge.

Confused
![]() I thought the last gtg was at Pierre's. Is Pierre and Pete one in the same? The guy I met, whom I assumed was his shop, went by "Pierre", tall, thin, dark hair, drove the convertible MBZ on the afternoon drive.... Or does Pierre work for Pete? or whatever...please explain ![]() |

Gonna make the drive
I think that this time I can finally make the drive. Just wondering, but if I had say, I dunno, a timing chain, and I wanted to replace it, could I use a chain breaker/vice to replace the chain? Or would it be just too hot after a 3 hour drive? (Idea here being that I have no access to said tools and it would be expensive to try and do it here in Tampa)

when you do the chain you have to... it is not optional.. you have to use the mercedes crimp tool.
no serious work will be done at this gtg. |

Headlights
well, I went into the fuse box today, and found out how messed up it was . . . . the only fuses that were correct amps were the originals, with the lead contacts . . . . had whites for the headlights, so replaced them with reds and voila, both my headlights work now. I have a bag of new fuses, so need to go through every one of them and match them to the chart . . . amazing either of my headlights worked at all. Thanks folks for your input.
